About: This flower is fragranted. It has many names and has many values as well. It is used in traditional medicine, used to alleviate diarrhea and its fruits are used to combat nephritis {source}. It is vinelike and it grows well if you add loads of chicken poo. Good for home landscaping too.

Thunbergia

Cat’s Whiskers

About: It’s a member of the mint family! It is used to help pass kidney stones (since it is used in Java tea). It is also a good attractor of bees, butterflies and hummingbirds (although there are no hummingbirds here in Brunei). Good for home landscaping.

Pachystachys lutea

Golden Shrimp Plant
Pachystachys lutea
{maybe exotic}

About: Also known as the lollipop plant, it usually blooms during warm months. It is has short-lived white flowers that emerge from the overlapping yellow bracts. Definitely good for home ladnscaping.

Cobaea scandens

Chalice Vines
Solandra grandiflora
{exotic}

About: Alright, this particular flower you don’t get to see it very often in Brunei. It is not native to our country but it is to Mexico and West Indies. I’ve come across this flower at Rimba’s horticulture centre and it was only one stall that was growing it. This species has large flowers and glossy foliage.
