Asteraceae

Careopsis lanceolata
Species: Careopsis lanceolata
A native American plant. It is commonly called Lanceleaf tickseed. And for some reason, they flower more when grown in nutrient poor (or rather soil that isn’t rich with organics). I think my plant is one of the other cultivars but all cultivars seem to produce yellow petals. They grow pretty well here in Brunei. They don’t grow very tall but they do grow side ways, giving many baby plants which you can pluck out (slowly, be careful of the roots) and re plant them somewhere. They look very stunning when planted amongst other flowers like the Rain Lily. One of my favourite flowers. =D
