143. Aiyo.

I was having my dinner, alone in the big dining table and while so, was flipping through today’s Borneo Bulletin. At the very last page of the paper, it’s the Sports section and usually, they have updates on all sorts of sports from badminton to football and then to some athletics and da-dee-da. Anyway, tonight’s show Brunei Darussalam winning number 1 in athletics, if I am not mistaken and you know – the pictures that show the Guest of Honour giving out the medals… no one, not a bloody soul was sitting in the spectator seat.

Not one bloody soul person.

And this isn’t the first few pictures I have seen with no one sitting at the spectators seat…it’s just sad, you know? No one was cheering for our team! No one was there to bring life and energy to the players in the field!

I was once a sporty little girl before (who loves nothing but running all day, hahaha) and I know how it feels like when people cheers for you… when the crowd cheers for you as you run towards the finishing line! There’s this boost! But really, just about any cheering, especially when they call your name followed by a “GO! Go! You can do it!”… at whatever occasion, it definitely would give you the “unknown” energy. (I’m serious!)

So, I close my eyes and imagine I was there in one of the seats – cheering very loud for them… and hoping that my cheer would follow by another and then another… and then our team will stand strong.

So sad lah.
