131. The Voluntary Human Extinction Movement

“May we live long and die out”

Sub Clause: “ Phasing out the human race by voluntarily ceasing to breed will allow Earth’s biosphere to return to good health. Crowded conditions and resource shortages will improve as we become less dense.”

I was reading a few blogs and came around the above and found it rather interesting.

Agreeing with a few of the points stated by Allisions of Grandeur, the mission stated (in the sub-clause) implicitly mentions that if human race is not “phased out” then biosphere will fail to recover. But how true is such?

Hominid fossils studies have shown that first of our group of Homo sapiens existed only hundreds of thousands ago – and we have indeed successfully move from one decade to another, co-existed and is still co-existing with other organisms in the physical environment.

The possibility that us humans are the key driven force to our extinction is a daunting thought. But I guess, “As bad as we have allowed it to become, there is still time to change our ways.” We are after all, part of the biotic world – we have every right to ensure that we survive through the upcoming ages. Hence, perhaps voluntarily phasing out human race is not a good idea, I personally think – but rather it would be more reasonable to educate the world, on the awareness and effects, of the aggressive torture we are currently forcing onto this huge habitat we all share as one. We need to change before it is too late.
