October 2008

Ding Ding Ding! update time!

Procedure:

5 tulips bulbs are prepared. All of them are put into the fridge. But they are taken out at different times.

Tulip A (4 weeks in fridge)- 16.11.08

Tulip B (6 weeks in fridge)- 30.11.08

Tulip C (8 weeks in fridge)- 14.12.08

Tulip D (10 weeks in fridge)- 28.12.08

Tulip E (12 weeks in fridge)- 11.01.09

As soon as bulb is taken out, it will immediately be planted.

Bulb will be planted 6-8 inches deep into the soil.

Note to self:

Need to mix soil with a little sand – may need to “cook” them – to destroy any spores (to prevent fungal growth) (will do this on: 14.11.08)

They are currently sleeping…

1. Rain that falls softly, drizzling down from the sky. You stand there at the very far end under a roof, through the window your see masses of green, tall grass, carpet grass… one creature sits on its bottom and wags its tail, the other lays its head on its paw. You wrap yourself warmly under a thick woolen coat while the breeze does its job and sways the curtains side by side gently. It’s just a picture.

2. Snuggle under the blanket while it is raining outside. Warm air fills the room and hot chocolate sits on the table beside you. AFC is on. No work is due tomorrow. No rush today. None at all. Ah~ it’s just another picture.

It has been raining these days and I have been busy with school work as usual. My mood should be dull… well, it was. But them pictures made me smile – pictures drawn up in my head, placing myself in therm, feeling what I think I’d want to feel and next thing you know… I’m back working under pressure while the rain continues to fall~

Just like that. My sweet escape.

This year was a little different.

19th October 2008.

It was planned that my family and I would eat out. Only, I think mom woke up on the wrong side of the bed so things did not go as well how we have planned them to be. Anyway, it was no Li Gong nor Excapade since the first was too expensive and the latter… well, dad has been eating at Excapade with his mates and so has sis. So no, no excapade. The question of “where to eat?” was passed here and there the whole morning. I got tired of it eventually, so I started on geo essay. sighs* hoorah? -.- Gladly though, aunt called while I typed away and she suggested we shall have a nice lunch at Le Taj~! Now why didn’t I think of that place?? haha. Anyway, aunt ordered huge number of dishes, some of which I have not tried before. We were stuffed!!! Besides this though, nothing much happened after that. That was the only interesting bit, I think? Ah well…

20th October 2008.

Ah, the day itself. First thing in the morning, the first text I read on my phone was my sister’s, who apparently was and is still five steps away from my room. Anyway, she texted while I was asleep – it was midnight… and Lin Ji…was sleeping like a log~ haha. Lectures next and more work. *rolls eyes* Nothing particularly interesting~ However, on my way to geo lecture, Foon asked to be accompanied to her car so she could get something she has forgotten… So I went with her, along with Fang… and when we reached the car park, we waited for her to get her stuff, only.. she didn’t quite get her “stuff”… this is what she took out…

Fruit Flan from Bakerlyn~ haha. It was yummy! They both got me a gift too – a keyboard! hahaha… =D exactly what I wanted. *winks*

Later on the day, I went out with darling to Season’s. We had a buffet dinner which was pretty yummy! =D The night was short.. sadly, since it was a school night. Sighs* There were no stars and no flowers. *pouts* Oh well~

There goes my birthday~* *grins* it was alright. The number 2 did not hit me so much. ahahaha XD

21st October 2008

{A zombie was seen walking around campus due to lack of sleep}

22nd October 2008 (Today)

I SPENT BND$11.20 JUST FOR A FRIGGIN LUNCH THAT DID NOT FILL UP MY TUMMY NICELY BECAUSE THE FOOD SERVED AT GIANT, YES GIANT, FOODCOURT WERE EFFIN, I REPEAT, EFFIN BAD.

Seeing them flowers grow and grow.

My professor suggested that someone should do a little project about clouds – how they look, why they look the way they are, how they are formed, da-dee-da. I was at the beach today and whilst my dad was driving, I stared out the window only to be caught by the magnificent view of the sunset and the wide iridescent created over the clouds, scattering of white light. Beautiful.

I thought, maybe it will be fun doing this little project. But as I dwell on the thought and its possible outcome, the more it seems to be unsuccessful. How could a photographed sunset be a better picture than one you see, real and moving?

Ah, them lovely clouds.

Okay! So I have done a little research here and there and have been making a draft on the procedure in growing this tulip.

First part

Hypothesis of this little experiment: The longer it is exposed to “coolness”, the quicker it will germinate and produces the flower.

Procedure:

1. Put all the bulbs into different paper bags.

2. Label the bags according to the following:

A : 4-6 weeks

B : 6-8 weeks

C : 8-10weeks

Because I only have 5 bulbs, I will put two in A, two in B and one in C.

Experiment will start tomorrow: October 19th 2008!

I don’t know. I meet you and then I get to know you and then… I just lost you.

The years that we shared together, done so much together, won medals together, laughed and cried together, went through much ups and downs together… we shared so much! We climbed the ladder together, focusing on our goals. And on our journey reaching it, we separated. I’m not sure whether we could click so well as before.

It was brief.

It began with a Hi and Hello, followed by How are you? and not long after, ended with a Alright, I’ll see you around. There wasn’t much to say.

But, I guess it’s partly my fault.

Have always been busy – trying to get my assignments sorted and done, trying to cope with all the new lessons, trying to keep everyone around me happy, trying to keep fit, trying to fit in, trying to get it all right… I don’t know whether I can add on to this list with only 24 hours in a day. Sighs*

When you called, I was busy. When I am not, you are.

And so, you met new friends and I met new ones too. Does that mean we must lose each other to gain new?

How could this be right?

I know you know and you know that I know that…

. N o ,  I t   i s   n o t .

Sighs deeply* I wish I was a little more rajin today. The day started dully and nothing else could spoil your mood further than having English lecture first thing in the morning. Class should start at 8am… but we waited, and waited until it was 9.15am… our lecturer was not in. I’m not sure exactly whether that is a good or bad thing. Good – I mananged to learn a little Korean while waiting (for the test later on the day), Bad – because.. we miss one lecture (so technically, it’s our lost as students). Anyway, I headed to the Chemistry Department to get my Math paper. Don’t ask why Math is in the Chemistry department. Apparently, it’s just is. -.- I have no intention to find out the whys and hows. Anyway, the paper made me smile because I have done pretty well on it. Sighs* But I can’t be too happy too soon – I have another Math test this Saturday. And this test carries a heavier precentage than the one I had last two weeks.

So all my classes ended at 1pm. The two girls and I went to Giant to have our lunch. By the time we got back to uni and settle down to study, it was already time for me to pick up both my sisters from school. And by the time I did all that, we have only half an hour left before Korean test. *frowns* In other words – I did not even study much for my Korean test. *pouts*

How did it go?… Well, it didn’t go as bad as I thought it would. I managed to answer all of them. Whether the answers are right or wrong.. err… that’s secondary. haha. -.-

By the time ALL THAT IS DONE, it’s already 6pm. And before you know it, it’s now 8pm as I am typing this.

Sighs* So anyway, how was your day?

I went to D1 first two days this week with a couple of ohers who were very much excited as I was. We were there to do some mammal trapping and indeed we did – we managed to trap a few M.Rajah and a few Munerai. I must agree, that forest mice are way cleaner than the house rats. Ah, the whole two days were great, only the bottom side of it is me being bitten by them mosquitoes! Damn mosquitoes.

First day of mammal trapping – it rained. *grins*

Second day of mammal trapping – it was hot like hell. *frown*

Hmms, I guess I am a bit late now but I hope I am not too late in wishing you all,

SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI!!!

MAAF ZAHIR DAN BATIN!!!

I miss you guys!
