80.Project Growing Tulips
I am starting on this little project. I am not sure whether there are any tulips here in Brunei. I think I might need to stop by the Horticulture center in Kilanas but anyway, I shall try this.
Tulip: Long-stemmed Single Late Tulips
Type: Lily-Flowered Tulips.
Name: ‘White Triumphator’
Others on the list: ‘Red Shine’ (red); ‘Mona Lisa’ (red and white); and ‘Marilyn’ (white streaked rosy-pink).
‘Linifolia’ (red); ‘Tarda’ (yellow and white); ‘Saxatilis’ (lavender with yellow) and Bakeri ‘Lilac Wonder’ (violet-pink and yellow).
Understands that: “Most bulbs will not be able to survive extremely hot summers”
Tulips normally only grow in cool weather countries; countries that have four seasons. For tulips to grow, they normally need to go through winter and will only bloom in spring, and some in summer. To grow the above tulip, it does not need to go through the pre-cooling phase hence might be easier to try out.
Now, all I need to do is get my hands on that particular bulb.
If you have any idea where to get one, do please tell me… or if you have any idea where I can get more information about this, tell me too. Daffodils, Hyacinths and Crocus are some others I’d like to try as well.

Season's Greetings!
